Twenty years of the Euro is a multidisciplinary and transversal reflection on the role of the euro in the construction of a united Europe in the face of the unprecedented challenges that come from technological progress and the global geopolitical order. The volume collects the proceedings of a series of study meetings organized, between 2022 and 2024, by the Department of Law of the University of Palermo, focused on the evolution of money, the payment system, the current statute of the pecuniary obligation, the civil regulation of credit to consumers and businesses, the protection of the person, especially vulnerable (migrants, indebted consumer), in the contemporary system. It is intended for scholars and university professors, jurists in training especially in the areas of private law, economic law, banking law and financial markets, as well as magistrates, lawyers, legal practitioners and experts in credit and financial matters.
